The School is situated in the heart of at Edamuttam Centre beside the Sri Badrachala Subramania temple, to propagate the ideals of the Sreenarayana Guru and create awareness among the masses, in a sprawling area of 3 Acres.S.N.S.Samajam Vidyamandir was established by Sree Narayana Sudharshana Samajam in 2002 at Edamuttam with the main objective of providing quality education and academic perfection to the children of backward coastal area. S.N.S.Samajam Vidyamandir is registered under Co- Operative Societies Act 1860 as SreeNarayana Sudharsana Samajam Charitable Trust

Our History

Realizing the necessity of providing quality modern education to the not so well to do children of parents who are socially and educationally backward without any discrimination among children at affordable cost , S.N.S.Samajam Vidyamandir established the School in the year 2002 and is registered under Societies Charitable Act.

It is cosmopolitan in its nature and outlook, respect all religions does not recognize barriers of caste, colour and religion and is open to all who cherish and believe in its principle and ideals. It was with minimum number of students S.N.S.Samajam initiated the venture of starting the pre-primary classes with a dream to give a facelift in the realm of education social uplift and progress by developing it to acquire a credible name for this village. Besides academic excellence the institution given due importance and facilitate for physical training games, sports, athletics and health education. Now S.N.S.Samajam conduct classes from kindergarten to High School in its own campus spreading 3 acres of land at Edamuttam Centre near National Highway. The school has proved to be successful in maintaining good performance all these years.

Aims & Objectives

To impart quality English Medium CBSE stream education to all the children in and around Edamuttam without any discrimination on caste or gender, to whom otherwise the kind of education might not have possible under the current education field scenario. It symbolizes ideal of education expressed in and through moral and spiritual values , discipline and character , appreciation of our cultural heritage and cultivation of genuine devotion to Matha, Pitha , Guru, Daivam.

Affidavit of school

Management

The School is managed by S.N.S.Samajam Educational and Charitable Trust, the educational wing of the S.N.S.Samajam Educational Committee.

Rules & Regulations

General instructions for parents

  • Withdrawal of children from classes during the school time is not permitted. Parents who want to take their children to hospital etc. are advised not to send their children for a session or a day as the case may be and to send a leave note to the class teacher throw the student’s Diary.
  • Parents should not directly go to the classes.
  • Open houses are conducted regularly and parents should attend each open house with their wards without fail.
  • Entry of vehicles to the campus is restricted during working hours.
  • Non – vegetarian food including eggs should not be brought to the campus.
  • In view of the prevailing atmospheric conditions it is preferable for children to bring drinking water from home. However we shall providing filtered water from the school.
  • The circulars/Notices etc. sent through the students may please be acknowledged in the diary and attended to.
  • Parents are not allowed to meet the teachers when they are in the class. Parents desirous of speaking to the class teachers about the progress of their children may meet the teachers by previous appointment through the Principal.
  • Withdrawal of children from classes during the school time is not permitted except for medical reasons. Parents should come to take their wards. If not a letter should be send through the person who is entrusted with the task. Request for leave shall be forwarded through students diary. Parents would acknowledge the circulars given to the students by signing in the column provided.

General instructions for students

  • Home Work shall be done and submitted regularly.
  • Indifference towards any subject, discourtesy towards any member of the staff or any act which affects the discipline or tone of the school will be viewed seriously.
  • Cleanliness in person and clothes is expected of every child. Students coming to school in untidy dress, hair etc. will be denied admittance.
  • Child suffering from any contagious or infectious disease will be sent home and not allowed to attend school.
  • Habitual negligence in school work, dishonesty or other acts of misconduct will entail severe disciplinary actions which in extreme cases will result in expulsion.
  • Pupils are responsible for the safe custody of their books and belongings.
  • Any damage done to school property or to that of other students will end up in a penalty being billed.
  • The school premises should be kept neat and tidy.
  • Pupils from one class are not allowed to be in the other class rooms during interval.
  • Every student must bring the school diary to the class daily. It should not be used as a rough book. Pages there-in should not be torn.
  • Gold ornaments should not be worn.
  • Bringing play materials, magazines and books other than the prescribed ones to the class is punishable.
  • Boys are not allowed to grow or colour their hair. Boys without proper hair cut or with disfigured side locks/whiskers will not be permitted in class. Boys should not wear low-waist pants.
  • Students should not throw papers or any waste materials on the floor of the class or in the ground.
  • All these rules must be strictly followed complaints will result in action taken against the child and the violation of these rules will not be entertained

  • Please ensure that the child is regular in doing the home work, assignment etc. and devotes time and attention to studies at home.
  • Private tuition unless essential, may be discouraged.
  • Please go through the progress report issued periodically and take suitable steps.
  • Please inform the class teacher whenever there is a change in the address or telephone number.
  • We request the parents/ guardians to co-operate with the school so that our mutual endeavor benefits the total progress of the child.

Uniform

Boys – Class I to IV

  • Blue half trousers with side pockets and belt loops. Light Blue check shirt (half sleeve) with left side pockets, with school monogram (emblem). It should be long enough to be tucked in properly.
  • Shoes: Black plain shoes with lace.
  • Socks: Navy blue with white rings.
  • Belt with school monogram : Navy blue with white & red in the middle.
  • On Wednesdays : Cream half trouser and red check shirt as per above mentioned pattern.

Boys – Class V to X

  • blue pants with side pockets and belt loop. No low waist trousers and allowed in the school campus.
  • Half shirts with left side pocket with school monogram.
  • Shoes: Black plain shoes with lace.
  • Socks: Navy blue with white rings.
  • Belt with school monogram : Navy blue with white & red in the middle.
  • Boys should cut their hair decently and comb neatly.
  • On Wednesdays : Cream pants and red check shirt as per above mentioned pattern.

Girls- class I-IV

  • Blue pinafore with v neck front and back with belt loop with school monogram on left side. Length of pinafore should be 3” below knees. It is mandatory for the girls to wear black shorts under the pinafore. Light blue check shirts (slack) inside the pinafore.
  • Shoes: Black plain shoes with lace.
  • Socks: Navy blue with white rings.
  • Belt with school monogram : Navy blue with white & red in the middle.
  • Girls having long hair should be neatly plaited on both sides by using navy blue and maroon colour ribbon.
  • Wednesdays : Cream pinafore and red check shirt as per above mentioned pattern.

Girls- class V-X

  • Blue skirt and light blue checked half shirt with sleeveless blue jacket (coat) with school monogram on left side. The jacket must extend 9” below the waist level.
  • Shoes: Black plain shoes with buckle.
  • Socks: Navy blue with white rings
  • Belt with school monogram : Navy blue with white & red in the middle.
  • Girls having long hair should be neatly plated by using navy blue and maroon colour ribbon on both sides.
  • On Wednesdays : Cream pant and red check shirts with sleeveless cream jacket (coat) as per above mentioned pattern.

School Parliament

Under consideration. floor assembly in the morning and every Wednesday Open Assembly

To the pupils

  • The entire pupil should attend the school in the School Uniform.
  • Uniform should be neat and clean. Pupils with uncombed hair, dirty finger nail etc.; will face serious censure.
  • Pupils should be inside the school campus at least 15 minutes before the first bill. Perfect silence will prevail during the prayer and at all school functions.
  • The class rooms and school premises in general should be kept neat and tidy. Scribbling on the walls, scattering the bits of papers, dust from the pencil sharpener, toffee wrappers, damaging the furniture and damaging the school property etc.; are strictly forbidden. Any one causing such damage will have to make good the losses either by compensation or by replacement.
  • Pupils behavior towards and teachers and elders should be marked by respect and obedience.
  • Any pupil loitering in the school premises will be seriously dealt with lazy and easy attitude and inattentive manner. Gossiping mischievous acts, distracting other students, making any kind of disturbance during class hours should be avoided.
  • All the students should converse in English in the school premises to acquire greater facility in the fluent use of the language.
  • The school diary is an important personal record of the pupil; so every pupil should take special care in bringing the diary to the school every day.
  • Students should be regular in doing their class work and home work assignments as instructed by the teachers. Any negligence on the part of students will be considered as serious misconduct calling for severe action.
  • Severe disciplinary action will be taken against those who continuously misbehave or indulge in the nefarious activities in the name of celebrating birthdays
  • Ones birthday is an important date. To celebrate the birth day in a novel way, we advice the student to be service motive and to donate one rupee for one life or one book for School library.
